Welcome to CGPA2Percent. By using this site, you agree to accept all terms and conditions mentioned hereinafter. If you do not accept any of the terms mentioned here, kindly do not use this site.

Since this site is completely free and does not require any sign-up, log in, or payment process, many of the terms found here are significantly different than what you may be used to in other areas of online business and operations.

1. What This Site Is

CGPA2Percent is a free online tool that provides grade conversion calculators for Indian grading systems, such as CGPA to percentage, percentage to CGPA, SGPA calculators, and other related tools. This site also provides informative articles regarding the process of grade conversion, including formulas found on university circulars and notifications, where available.

This site is completely free to use – there are no requirements to sign-up, log in, or make a payment to use any of the calculators or articles on this site.

2. Accuracy of Calculations – Read This Before Using This Website

This is the most important section of this page, and therefore it is not recommended to skip reading this section.

Every formula given on this site either comes from an officially recognized, valid source (university circular/notifications/letters) or is a general estimate (backed by UGC/CBSE formulas) when no official source could be found or was available. Formulas on this site have been cited with their respective source where available.

Critical Illustrative Example: A student, using this site, mistakenly picks a wrong university from the given drop-down list of universities or the university they require is not present on the list, with the site defaulting to a general estimate. This student then proceeds to apply for a government job, which requires them to enter their percentage of marks. The cut-off for this recruitment is 60%. This student, unaware of the intricacies of the CGPA system or the differences between the CGPA calculation formulas of different universities, enters the value this site gave as their percentage of marks. The value given by this site was 60.1%. However, the value this student’s university would give is 59.4%. The student has mistakenly applied for a post they are not eligible for due to the difference in calculation differences between different universities.

This is why this section is here – this site makes no claim to being endorsed or affiliated with UGC, CBSE, or any of the universities mentioned here. Calculation formulas for CGPA to percentage conversions change between admission years and some universities have their own peculiar or special cases that we are unaware of from the outside. Calculations made by this site should be treated as a quick estimate only. Please do not input any values from this site as your final CGPA to percentage conversions anywhere on any official government forms, applications for jobs/universities, eligibility checks, etc. without first confirming with your university. We accept no responsibility or liabilities for any damages incurred by using this site, including but not limited to losses of money, academic losses, or other damages. If you are unsure what formula is applicable for you, or the site shows you only general estimates because the university you are looking for is not present, it is advised to contact your university before using this site.

This site is available for general use by students, parents, and teachers. There are no age limitations to using this site except as provided by law. If you are a minor, it is advised to use this site with parental supervision, especially when converting any grades to percentages to use on any official documents.

Except as noted otherwise, CGPA2Percent retains all right, title, and interest in and to this site, including all content, calculators, information, arrangement, and layout contained on this site. This includes but is not limited to all text, formulas, presentations, and derivations, except for the mathematical formulas themselves, which are standard, generally known, and publicly available information.

Currently, this site does not store any information about your activity except within your browser, as cookies. However, if the monetization of this site via Google AdSense begins, we plan on storing some data about your activity on our servers as well to analyze them and improve this site. When that happens, this section and the Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly to reflect what information is stored by us and how it is used. In other words, what this section is saying is that we strive to provide formulas that we have found from official sources. This site cites them with the official source where possible, and updates its information as needed. However, we cannot guarantee that the information given on this site will be completely accurate for your specific case at the time of use. A formula found from a university circular may be superseded by a newer notification from the same university. Some universities have exceptions for certain programs that we are not always aware of. We take this site seriously, and we will attempt to keep the information on it as accurate and up-to-date as we can, but we cannot guarantee a 100% accuracy for every single formula on this site.

If you need 100% accuracy for the calculation of CGPA to percentage for an official or semi-official purpose, and it is required for a document of importance, we advise you to double check with your university’s official source of conversion, whichever that may be, before submitting the results of this site’s calculations anywhere official, as advised in Section 2 above. Since this site is a completely free online tool that requires no sign-up, log in, or payments, CGPA2Percent cannot be held responsible or liable for any damage incurred by using this site to the maximum extent permitted by law.

CGPA2Percent reserves the right to make changes to this site, including but not limited to calculators, formulas, content, or any other part of it, at any time and for any reason. If you feel that there are any errors in this site, or the formulas given on this site are not completely accurate for your university, please do not hesitate to contact us. Making this site accurate and up-to-date is our goal, and any correction report helps us achieve that goal.
